Are they not getting offered the big movie roles any more?

i like the easy money answer. in films, they have basically gone as far as they can. they are big fish in a bigger pond. on the other hand, on tv they are a big fish in a small pond. plus, a guaranteed $500,000+ an episode is probably much easier than working month on a movie that might flop.
