Which 1987 movie featured an affair between Michael Douglas and Glenn Close’s characters?

The movie was “Fatal Attraction” and is still memorable for the discussions that it prompted (i.e. “How wrong was Glenn Close for being hurt?”, “Was Michael Douglas the bad guy for use Close the way he did?”) that are still relevant almost 20 years later.

As a side note, the ending (which I won’t go into for for spoiler reasons) was not the original one. The original ending was more downbeat with references back to the opera that we heard Close’s character listening to earlier in the movie. Audiences didn’t like the original ending (even though it is truer to the story) and Adrian Lyne altered it to the one that was released. You can catch the original ending, however, on the special edition DVD.
