Fantasy Football Players Championship will crown their Third Champion this week!

Muldoon/Kastner Lead Fantasy Football Players Championship Main E!vent

This is it. The final week of the FFPC Main Event is coming up and we have a
real battle at the top of the FFPC Main Event Leaderboard. Robert Muldoon
and Philip Kastner, owners of Team HOGS, have a very slim lead over John
Haskell, owner of Syracuse Slappers. How slim of a lead could it be? It is
less than 1 point in fact. Not only that, but there are also four other
teams within 30 points of first place. Other teams in the top 15 could make
a giant leap with a huge week. I bet each of them can smell that $100,000.
You are all so very close. And if any of those teams posts a big 200 point
week, that could very well lock up the $100,000 grand prize for their squad.
Who will take it down? I can’t wait to see.

Team HOGS has a bit more than $100,000 to play for. They currently are in
2nd place in the Playa4LIFE contest behind Proper Sundays. HOGS is the
highest scoring remaining Playa4LIFE entry and could win 20 years of FFPC
Main Event entries if they outscore Proper Sundays by 25.76 points in week

The FFPC Playoff Challenge

John Duckworth may or may not have had a decent 2009 fantasy season. But he
has one hell of a post-season when he cashed for $12,500 in last year’s FFPC
Playoff Challenge! On just a $200 entry fee, John bested 191 other teams to
take down the big cash. Well, this year the FFPC has gone crazy and
guaranteed the prize payouts right away.

Let’s take a look:

1st – $12,500 Grand Prize
2nd – $5,000
3rd – $3,500
4th – $2,500
5th – $1,500
6th – $1,000
7th – $750
8th and 9th – $500 each
10th to 15th – $400 each
16th to 20th – $300 each
21st to 25th – $200 each

Here are the Official Rules for the 2009/2010 FFPC Playoff Challenge:

1. FFPC scoring rules are in effect.

2. Each team will consist of 10 NFL players in a FFPC starting roster
format: 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-TE, 2-Flex, 1-K, 1-D

3. Each team will choose 10 players from any of the 12 playoff teams but
ONLY ONE PLAYER PER TEAM. To be clear, if you choose Peyton Manning as your
QB, you may NOT have any more Colt players on your roster.

4. This will be your roster for the duration of the playoffs and you will
not make any changes. As NFL teams get knocked out of the playoffs, so will
your players so draft your team accordingly.

5. Each week’s score will be added to your team’s total and the Superbowl
will count as DOUBLE the points. So instead of 1ppr it will be 2ppr, instead
of 6 pts per TD, it will be 12 pts per TD, etc, etc. This is done to create
a little more excitement the last game of the season and give teams a chance
to make up a deficit in the standings. Teams with the highest point total
after the Superbowl will be the winners. In the event of a tie, say #1 and
#2 finishing teams, the 1st & 2nd place prize money will be combined and
evenly divided between the two teams.

6. The NFL playoffs are scheduled to begin Saturday, January 8th, the time
has yet been announced by the NFL. The deadline for roster and payment
submission is 11:00AM Eastern on Saturday, January 8th but we encourage
everyone to submit their rosters as soon as possible. DEADLINE FOR ROSTER
SUBMISSION HAS BEEN MOVED TO SATURDAY 4:00PM EASTERN

7. We are working with RTSports to have the invites sent to each owner, so
that they can login and make roster changes as they see fir prior to the
first game’s kickoff.

8. All rosters and scoring will be loaded and tracked on a RTSports league
page (on leagues.myffpc.com) and all rosters will be made public prior to
the start of the playoffs. Your existing FFPC login will work if you use the
same email address.

9. Entry Fee is $200 and registration has been created. You will be able to
register online using your credit card or you can mail a check/MO to the

Please let us know if you are paying by mail so we look for your
correspondence, as we do not check the mail often this time of the year.

10. To submit your team with your CC payment, please type in the players
names in the “Comments” window at the bottom of the registration page or
wait for your league invite and enter your rosters by yourself.

11. To submit your team with your check/MO, please include it with your
payment or email it to chris@myFFPC.com.

12. Prizes will be paid out according to the announced structure. If we
exceed 192 teams, we will add to it at 85% of entry fees.

13. The prize winnings from this contest will count towards the 2011
calendar year. All prize winnings in excess of $600.00 will be reported with
with the IRS via a 1099 Form for the 2011 calendar year.

14. And lastly, ALL ARE WELCOME to play, not just FFPC participants and you
may enter as many times as you wish.

Here is the deal. Everyone always signs up late for the playoff pool.
Always. And Chris and I work for 15+ straight hours to get it all entered in
time. Normally I would I ask you all to enter early to help us out, but why
bother? You won’t do it anyway. Just join late again for all we care, but
just make sure you do join either way and have some fun!
